Hi, I am Darryl Harrelson, drummer and musician since the age of eight. Former President of the California Country Music Association, Contributing Editor to Cal Country Magazine, member of the Academy of Country Music, The Country Music Association and The Recording Academy "Grammy organization". I am also an Award winning producer and a hell of a nice guy! :-)

One of the Los Angeles based studios that I enjoy working in is Reel Sound Studio located near the Northridge Mall in the San Fernando Valley.

The control room hosts a Neve 8128 mixing console with a host of fantastic outboard mixing gear including Pultec's, Urei 1176's, Dbx 160's, and Neve 2254/A compressors. The mains are a pair of Tannoy FSMU Retrofits, are powered by the studio's Bryston 4 B amplifier and are true enough to mix and master on.

We can import your ProTools sessions to enhance add or master as desired. For overdubbing and Vocal tracking we have a wonderful collections of microphones as well as a slew of classic fender and Marshall amplifiers which you can see on the studio page.

The studio is laid out with a separate control room and a comfortable studio floor.

I would enjoy working with you on your next project. A producer is considered the fifth member of the band and I would like to give your project the same magic and special touch as some of our past projects which have included music with many artists in California, Nashville and Texas.

My specialties include counter melodies,double tracking violins and helping the artist reach the full potential of their arrangements.

The man on the right is my bud Chuck Tennin and operates the well known publishing company Big Fish Music. We can supply origin material to those that need it, and also help with the placement of your songs.

We can track your project with live drums. Our studio offers full Marshall stacks that work just as well for cutting country music tracks as well as standards and rock songs.

The live room also has the 1964 Fender Twin reverb which has a very clean and sweet sound as well as one of the early Mesa Boogie amps that has that signature Santana sound.

We have a Roland JC 120 amp that is renowned for its classic jazz and country sound. The studio has many great guitars and you can bring yours as well to just plug in.

We have a wide selection of microphones including Neuman's AKG's Shures and many others.
